After several IMs asking about it, the inbox figured it was time to play nice and put out.

But what people fail to understand is that the HMD? Is like the illegitimate child of public executions and the Oscars. Come on, people, I gotta polish my act - I'm followin' on the likes of John Stewart and Torquemada here. Ye think it's easy? Aww heeeeeell naw.

RULES O' GAME FO' THE LOVINGLY VIRGINAL

So, first you stare. It looks sweet and charming and friendly, and you sorta-maybe-fuck-no wanna hug it.

Then you post with the characters you'd like some feedback for, re: characterization or gameplay. Replying with just their names, fandoms of provenance and lj usernames will do. This format will probably be rabu:

char_name | fandom | username

If you have a character critique thread, feel free to pimp that too. Chill out while shady or stalkerishly doting anons make sweet love with your post. No, really. Unless it's a personal attack (yes, kids, we will be monitoring), any and every remark that is in any way pertinent to your characterization will be allowed. That's the breaker, y'all: do not post if you think you can't handle brutally honest opinions.

Because afterwards? We will not be deleting your comment.

So yeah, wait up while comments and appreciations on your characterizations pile up, and go a'huntin' to throw some observations of your own. Again, either anon or logged in; ~~right now, IP logging is turned off, but we will have absolutely no qualms about stalking you into the next galaxy if you choose to abuse this privilege. None. Whatsoever.~~

Then follow the reactions: usually, they will be caring and benevolent, but sometimes, the glass ends up half empty.

Do not fret.

Everyone, their dog and yours truly gets burned on the HMD. M'dear, we call it tradition. Think a bit on what was said and whether you feel it merits consideration. Not all the input you get will be helpful input – discretion and the yadda-yadda-better-part-of-value-yadda.

We now interrupt your HMD lulz for a minor technicality. We do like to poll for these things every three months or so, because, well. Options change.

Re: the minimum number of monthly posts that one should be required to make in order to not end up on the inactivity list. Keep in mind that, right now, it's two - if you feel it's too much / little, you might want to change your option. Naturally, a new post requirement would only take effect as of the month of March.
