Yep! It's also possible to do the reverse if the desire is purely aesthetic / archive-based - doing the comm post and having comments on the comm post, but having a copy of the post in your journal that links to the comm (which is prolly what I'd do). Both serves the purpose, just the earlier one provides a "journal based" setting that still satisfies A/C.
