[This is an IN-CHARACTER POST. Reply to it as if it were a journal entry, all IC-like. I mentioned this in the post that was made yesterday. ♥ A little weird, yes, but saves the masses from friending an LJ I'm only using for right now.]

Good afternoon, citizens of The City; before you ask, no, not even we've named it.

Currently, we are running some maintenance throughout the area - you may have noticed. The weather and the random explosions are a sign, so I advise you to stay inside your upgraded apartments for today. Nothing is open anyways, as we are cleaning and renovating, and getting rid of unnecessary things. Another side effect of our group's maintenance is a slight dizzy, lightheaded or nauseous feeling you may have for a few moments. They will pass, and may come again later; don't worry, you're not sick or dying.

As you may have also noticed, we fixed the clock to the correct time, and the carousel has paused - the ticking is also a little haywire, but everything will be back to normal soon enough. Although, I would like to congratulate on those who did manage to reset the clock - I apologize, but your efforts were meaningless. We have to keep things on schedule.

Business aside, I should introduce myself, shouldn't I? If you care to know, I am known as Lanika, or as the four we sent here call us, one of "the higher-ups." I am not the only boss, not by far - there is a small group of us. We do hope Kaen and Yoshito have been doing the jobs they were given, and Kin and Tsuyu are enjoying their training. Boys, you know I'm glad to see you again. ♥

Now, I would like to ask you, citizens of The City, who deal with curses, tricks, drama, pain, sorrow, love, lust, and happiness within this enclosed area, a few questions. If you don't want to answer, you don't have to - but, we'd appreciate it if you could. I have been in this City since June. All I really remember was some voices saying I had to come to a city, and I was lost in darkness and woke up near the carousel.

I've never left. My friends Zack, and Kairi, have. Zack got lost, and Kairi found a way out. But she came back.

2. Have you tried to stop the end of the world? Did you even know it was happening? Do you care? Do you prefer to sit on the sidelines?
...when V had those shield gems given out, I took one. But I don't know very much about that sort of thing...I don't think I can help. I want to, but...it doesn't matter.

I think they're doing their respective jobs...I've only talked to Kaen, though. I haven't heard from any of the others.

I like the people I met here most...but I dislike the curse days that make me...something I'm not.

...I was, I think, until two days ago. I want to get out, but Dorian asked too high of a price, as usual, and so I'm stuck here. But at the same time, even if I did get out...? I'd die on my own.

I just arrived a few days ago, I was led here in a dream. Nobody else I know is here. I have not heard about the end of the world, and I do not know if it is my place to stop it. I have met no deities, nor heard anything about them.

If there was a way to return home I would take it. My only wish is that somebody else from my "world" was here. The ticking is getting rather bothersome.

- Around.. 3 months? Oh my God, it's been that long already..??
I got here when I was trying to rescue my brother and lover from danger. My friend, Yuuhi came here with me through the same door.
I know a few who have left and then come back. I'm not sure of anyone who's left and stayed gone though, I've been a little distracted. ^^;

- On one side, I am a little happy here. Yuuhi and I manage to get by okay, and we have a good time with our friends and aquaintances here. I'm always looking for a way out. It's actually consumed most of my time here as of late, so that's why I disappear for a while.


Question! What exactly is the point of flooding the city? Or trying to cause conflict between friends and individuals? And why did you guys have to embarass me with no self-control day?! ; ; I don't understand it, it seems really pointless to me.

The flooding was to give the buildings a wash, and flush the city out. Also, the sky was getting a little full. Rain is a natural occurrence, but, like we do with everything here, it's done to an excessive level, so it isn't boring.

Pointless? Perhaps, to you. With light, comes darkness; when that darkness hurts you and swallows you up, you appreciate the light more, and spend the days of normalcy in a good way, while you can.

Kaen and Yoshito represent two different things; Kaen is the darkness and hate that exists in the world, while Yoshito is joy and optimism. Both exist, and you can't ignore one or the other.

We are not merciful beings; the city also feeds on emotions, which many people have figured out already, and this is the end of the world. Did you expect it to be pleasant?

As for why you have been assembled, is that this is a place that is sort of a center of everything. It's where the countdown is being held - although, to do so, energy is needed. I'm sure you can figure that out on your own.

As well, would it hurt more to see the end of everything in your own home, or in a place that you despise? Watching something you love be destroyed hurts most people, while watching something you wish never existed disappear is almost joyous. Or, so I've come to understand.

This is also the end of the world. The end of all worlds. It's not going to be the most pleasant of experiences.

A month has passed now, though both my friend and I managed to leave a month before that. Prior to that, her stay extended two months, mine, one and a half. Her first arrival was something akin to death, we had imagined, but she's alive and well (if not for her temper, which I must apologize for, should you come across bitter words).

We did, in fact, leave. And we came back, but not of our volition.

I've been here longer than I would like. Still not sure just how I ended up here, either.

There's been some that have come and gone--but I can't say I really got to know them all that well. Save for some old coworkers. They left a while ago and haven't heard from them since.

There is nothing I like about this place. I've been selected at random to become stuck in a secluded area which has no scientific or logical explanation but, however, is chock-full of morons for your psychotic expermentations or what have you. I hate everything and everyone in this wretched place.

Mmm, no. Call me selfish, but I'd rather stay here where I can have a grasp of what's what instead of doing something to get us all evicted and booted out. I'd prefer to not see what Hell has in store for me.

They all seem to be providing what they're supposed to be. I've never spoken to any of 'em personally, but I like the guy who's got the sparkly chickens and stuff. Free booze and free tickets home? I'd say that's the better end of the deal. Haha!

I like the fact that this can be my home now - it might not be perfect, but, like I mentioned before - s'gotta be better than Hell, right?

I've been here for over 4 months. How did I get here? I think it was when I passed out from drinking a bit too much, has anyone I known left? Yes and to answer the second part, yes. Not more than once though. & as for me? I haven't left a single time. Been here the whole time.

I know the world's ending but I'm not going to do anything about it until a few more things become clear surrounding it.

I've got nothing to say to any of them because they really haven't talked to me. Wait, correction, Kaen did yell at me once. It wasn't that bad though.

I can't say. I have a neutral feeling for the City. Not sure if I hate it or if I like it. Everything is just reminds me of home, well. Except the days were I'm forced to remember things. Those aren't all that grand.

I've been here since April, but I did go back once. Through my dreams. I went to sleep here and woke up back home. It was great. And I don't know anyone that's left other than me.

I like the people I've met in the City and I hate the curse days. They're the worse. Well, not all of them are bad, but the ones that are bad REALLY stink.

Hello, Miss Lanika. My name is Frederick Abberline; I don't know if you'd know that or not. I will answer your questions honestly, in the hopes that you'll do the same for mine.

1) I am not sure of the exact length of time my stay has been. When I arrived, I assumed myself to be in another part of London, found a club, and stayed there. It was not until this week that I left and began to discover things about the world around me - and indeed myself. I believe my appearance where was punctuated by my death.

2) I did not know it was happening until recently - I imagine I would like to do something about it. As much evil and filth I've experienced, there are still enough bright spots in the place worth saving.

3) I've never been a religious man. I've also never had any direct contact with any of these individuals.

4) I do not like or dislike anything that strongly just yet, though the one curse I experienced was unpleasant. I have access to what ails me, and that is enough. I wish Victoria was here I wish Mary was here I am glad Victoria didn't end up here

5) I'm not sure what you mean by happy. I don't know if I could escape, or where I would go, so I'm really not sure.

If you're inclined to answer, I have some questions of my own.

- Is this place of your (singular or plural) own design, or was it found, or given to you by others? Has it always been here for this purpose, or have you voluntarily decided to end the world? Why is the world ending, and why is such a thing connected to this place?
