Emcee Shynose Presents:
Y halo thar, boys and girls.
Today we're going to do a little review. We'll be going over a lesson that is very near and dear to my heart, so I hope you'll all pay attention.
The City's Canon > your canon.
Do we all understand thus far? Good. Then I'll continue.
This role-play game's setting is an isolated placed in-between dimensions only known as "the city". This city is filled with all the resources that one could possibly need, nearly everything and anything can be at the residents' fingertips. There's no rent and anything can be used for currency - almost a perfect utopia, aside from the fact that once you're in you're stuck and a few days out of the month you're plagued by sometimes strange, sometimes painful and more often than not the most awkward of supernatural occurences.
ohyes, and rumor has it that the city marks the end of everything as you know it and is counting down as you draw in this very breath. Are you writing this down? ♥
Now that the basics are out of the way, hope that you and your character enjoy your stay in wonderful "the city", but since it is a fairly complex place with many different people and creatures from all dimensions and walks of life, we ask that you take a few things into consideration before you head off to play:
Please. Read the rules. They are located HERE. Please. Read the Q&A/FAQ often. It is located HERE. Hell, there are even questions that "Lanika", one of the "higher ups" answered for the city's residents, which can be found HERE. If you have any further questions do not be afraid to ask in the Q&A section, e-mail the moderators or contact us via AIM. If you're not sure about a decision regarding something you want to do with your character and it could potentially effect more than just you - ASK before you do it. There's no such thing as a stupid question, alright? We'd much rather you contact us then us have to contact you in a not-so-happy manner.
Us moderators here at Polychromatic want to make sure that everyone has the best time they possibly can playing here. We're passionate about this game, and we'd like to keep you, our players just as passionate and interested. However, it can be a tough job. So mostly I am writing this to remind you guys as kindly as I possibly can:
Please respect the canon of the city and this game first and foremost. Before your character's canon, before the canon of your friend's character and before the canon of your dog's character. We don't have that many strict rules and for the most part, we allow you all to do what it is you wish - so we're reminding you to please respect the canon rules of the city. Because, no. Your character is not above them. I'm sorry, but it's true. Not even the city's deities are above the rules of the "higher ups", so if y'all can respect that and adhere to it, that'll make things continue to run smoothly.
That being said, if anyone has questions or comments about the homework, now would be the time to let me know.
Thank you,
Ponta-mod ♥

And yes - in full understanding that it's a rather futile, destined to eat dust and a nice assortment of vermin from the start?

We love all of you and your fantastic ideas, I don't want to give the impression that we're here to shoot you down or anything. I personally would like to know more about this plot in motion. ♥

Hadn't thought of talking to the mods just yet, partly because there's more of an instigation to war than an actual army right now ♥ It's something along the lines of "sell A to buy B and negotiate C and reset D only so that char X will even consider listening out to rebellion / war plans, let alone adhere".
But sure, I'll try to write down a solemn declaration of intents!

Yamino's not the kind to show off, but he will change into his real form (a gigantic snake) if provoked. He's supposed to be able to encircle the earth, but The City isn't that big (I think). Should I scale him down to a more reasonable size? Maybe ten blocks long? Fifteen?
no subject
The size of the city is exceptionally smaller than that of the world, yes. However, if he has the need to change into his form I think it would definitely be interesting! The city does regenerate from damage, so you don't have to scale him down to where his size would compromise how... intimidating you intend him to be? So he can still be big. After all, if characters are allowed to pilot giant Gundams, yours can turn into a bigass snake. x)
If it's going to be a big deal and he may cause a bit of damage or block off some entry ways, make a post to Poly Extra to let people know what's gonna happen and work together to make things work for you and the potentially affected. Nothing is impossible and I trust most of you lot are good boys and girls and act responsibly. ♥

And and:
It's a poor shame the City's canon pwns the dog's canon too. xDDD Sorry, that part of the whole thing just cracked me up, and I needed it too. ♥no subject
Much love to you, I enjoy playing here. You are wonderful mods.
