♥ Modly Update ♥

This is Jesse-mod. I'm just posting from my main account because sadly poor Maemi is not permitted to post LJ polls. He says he hates the LJ staff, like everything else.

1. In regards to the Add/Remove List, it's been decided that while constantly updating the Beginning Lists whenever I update the 10/11 Lists is considerate and makes it easier on new players, it was...too much of a pain in the ass. It is not very hard for new players to simply copy and paste both lists, so that's how we're going to do it for now.

Also, if a character is dropped, while obviously they will be added to the Remove list, I won't make it my top priority to remove that SN from the Add list, if you get what I mean. So yes, that means SNs might be on both the Add AND the Remove list at the same time. Again, you all should be updating your Remove list periodically anyway, so copy/pasting two lists shouldn't be that hard. It only adds on a few more seconds of waiting.

I apologize if this inconveniences anyone, but my life has gotten way more hectic as of late, and I just feel this way, everybody sort-of wins. If you have any problems with this, let me know in a cordial manner.

2. PLEASE remember to remove your characters from the Living Quarters and the Taken Characters threads when you drop them. It's not that hard to do, and keeps confusion from reigning.

3. Last but not least, we were looking at the Character Canon thread, and while we do still see people update on it, we're wondering if anybody actually READS these. This is not me ordering you to read all the character info.

This is just me asking if you actually do? Because if not, then we were considering simply removing it, so it doesn't clutter up space. I know I don't, but I'm not going to judge based on that, obviously, so here is a poll!

I only check the Character Canon thread by extension. Uh, what I mean is... if I'm interested in a character in RPing opposite, and I'm not familiar with them, I check their userinfo to see if they have any kind of write-up on the character. If that happens to link to the Character Canon, then - well, hoorah?

I don't think I've ever checked it just in and of itself, if that makes sense.

I just type the character's name into wikipedia if I'm unfarmiliar with the oppisite character. But that has more to do with me being a wikipedia fangirl, methinks... X|

I think I accidently tried joining the polychromatic comm twice and so that might have messed things up? Because I know you guys are normally very fast about adding people to the comm, but this journal hasn't yet and...

Can you tell me something? Did you have Vincent join the Polychromatic community?

Because that's how I personally have been keeping up with who to add to the list, and you're not the first person to mention their character not being added, so I was thinking perhaps this has to do with it.

If so, it proves my method is faulty. XD

I knew it was there, but I just use the Wiki. Not to mention that I know a good percentage of Poly-muns use a slightly AU version of their charrie. If I wanna know about someone, I just type it into the Wiki.

I actually really think that, since all the canon posts are links to Wikipedia for the most part, it can go.
Meh.

I actually think that OCs should still be able to post - or maybe just have to have detailed bios.
Sometimes, it's REALLY hard to know how to interact with a character I'm unfamiliar with. I use Wikipedia for shit all the time for that reason, but you can't wiki an OC. ^^;
