BRIEF REQUEST.

The character Vincent of Silent Hill notoriety is no longer affiliated with polychromatic under Kether's maintenance. Having left the RP, the player in question is still posting on the snarky_padre_v account under pretense of tangencies to the City and its residents; we have received and witnessed instances of his interfering with regular RP activity. Moreover, he has chosen to ignore both thread and AIM notices.

...I hate the policing, ladies and gentlemen. I truly and deeply do. But trolling is not something to poke fun at - and yes, in light of the knowledge of both his antecedents and his exact reasons for leaving polychromatic, it can be safely attested that he is doing this to be explicitly unsavoury.

How this concerns you: we can ban him from the polychromatic community, but we have no control over his commenting in your character journals. If he proceeds to do so, we kindly request that you DELETE HIS COMMENTS or BAN HIM from further commenting in your journal. We have no access there, and so this method is, by and large, what is presently most effective.

Sorry for taking up space and for finding no other way around this.

I don't know... I think it's something only a particular player can decide to pursue further than those measured we've mentioned above.

You are taking this far too seriously. He posted "boo" in one journal. 'Tis hardly threatening behavior.

Kether and Linda know one another from another comm and are playing with each other contentedly there. As for his posting to his own LJ, perhaps this is because he is in another comm with it already? Perhaps you should consider asking what the whole deal is before jumping to conclusions?

No one said it was threatening, 1.

No one said he could not use that journal for any activity he so wished to, 2. To my knowledge, Kether has already started his own RP, and I wish him all the best with it.

But fact of the matter is, some of the poly players don't quite understand why exactly he can reply to character threads that are still related to his RP. This might raise future questions of a "is the character still taken?" nature.

The core of it, however, lies with his decisions to both ignore the message left to him in Linda's thread AND to pursue blocking me on AIM when I attempted to clarify this matter. What could have been a simple administrative issue was frankly also 'overblown' by prior accusations brought at Kether's door. I don't hold that against him, truly - he can do whatever he wishes, he is his own individual. But as a moderator of this community, I have to adhere to one of the limited courses of actions allowed to me by HIS reticence to talk things out.

Interpret that as you will. Furthermore, please re-read the above. There is no where word of ' ZOMG BAN HIM NOW NOW NOW ' . Players can choose to do whatever they desire.

May I inquire - and you may freely dismiss the question - whether you yourself are affiliated with polychromatic or simply an acquaintance of Kether's, however ?

I don't see the big deal either. I found Vincent Mun nice and he gave the codes to take him off the friends list, If people chose not to , that is there call. On a side note I think this issue is blown way out of proportion.

Of course. What happens in Vincent's journal? Doesn't concern us, as far as people don't incorporate the canon of those actions into the City one - and also as far as he doesn't post into threads made by other players with characters pertaining to the City.

I think it's reasonable to assume that someone new to polychromatic would have a difficult time understanding just why exactly a character that ISN'T effectively in the City can still leave comments in the threads of those who are.

I talked to Kether over AIM tonight. During one part of our conversation he said.

For awhile we had been sniping at each other from our personal LJ's. During the last round he posted a link to some of the critiques I got. I got a little peeved, because I didn't think it was any of his business, and I sniped back from mine.

I am in another RP with him, and told him that I had killed off one my Cs there. Eventually we started chatting, and made up.

Yes, I know, "WTF?" no, but I'm a forgiving person I like to think. Sure I might get mad at people, but I don't ever hate anyone.

With that said, Kether and I are on better terms with each other.

It however still doesn't explain his refusal to stop replying to Stanley's thread once a note asking so had been posted; it also doesn't explain his - shall we say - reluctance to address the matter over messenger.

It can be argued that someone who has not been 'heard' can be mistreated purely due to the lack of his point of view - with that in mind, nevertheless, someone who refuses both us and himself the opportunity to talk things through has himself to blame.

I like the guy, actually.
But I like polychromatic too and have every intention of staying on here AND playing at forest_cradle.

I know the guy was posting in his other community and that he knew the other player previously.

It's silly to assume he was trying to pretend he was still here when he wasn't.

On the other hand I also know he was hurt and bitter and probably did some sulking in his livejournal, but who doesn't do that?? Isn't that was bad_rpers_suck and Encyclopedia Dramatica and such sites are for, to get others beside your close circle of friends to see what's bumming you?

I wholeheartedly agree you should ban the boy from your own livejournal if it so suits you.

But I also strongly suspect he's not likely to come creeping back, as the saying "boo" to one person does sound as he said like trying to prove he wasn't creeping.

I for one wouldn't want to come back to a place where people tried dragging my corpse behind a cart either, which is what I see being done.

In short: I'm not leaving.

But if I see people trying to tar me with the same black paintbrush, I shan't turn the other cheek.

maybe you all should try to move on from this. the fact that you all keep going on about it tells me that everyone enjoys this, the drama (and you're all roleplayers, right? can't have roleplay without drama). it should be over and done with, but it keeps getting dragged out more and more. the guy is out of the comm, he's trying to get on with his own, and yet he has to keep coming back to speak his piece and try to get you people to see his side of things? which doesn't seem to be happening at all.

its amazing how one little word can get people so riled up. and it sucks that some of you are saying how immature he is, and you don't even know kether, or the sitch. leave him alone already. go play nice with each other. life's too short to be wasting everyone's time like this.

I've had a rather bad meta/power gaming experience with the player in question, but ended up not reporting it since I knew I was going to end up being MIA from the internet.
