MODLY ANNOUNCEMENT - PLEASE TO BE READING

Five orders of the day, people, let's keep it nice'n'shiny:

I. At this point in time, we are forced to not accept several versions of the same character, from the same world, regardless of the number of different works that depict him/her at varying stages of maturity. If someone apps child!Mickey, who's just taken in Pluto? No one else can app newly-Minnie-engaged!detective-Mickey. Same for the reverse. Yes, I hear your childhood screaming.

II. If you have reached the ten character limit, but are still a masochist still willing to apply for more, we will allow the procedure under the following circumstances:

- you must have no inactivity issues;
- you can only app one extra character every month;
- you lose this privilege if your characters end up on the inactivity list.

III. Say 'hi' to the POLYchromatic Cookbook - it should be regularly updated with our newest policies [today's updates scheduled once we're sure you don't stone us for'em], and introduces all the steps you might need to take, comin', goin' and survivin'. Incidentally, it also has the Sparklies Code [TM].

IV. A more informal, if vehement note on my part - yes, having the whole of a month to post the one obligatory update means you can do it on the very last day of the month. But NO, this does not mean you should. polychromatic may be hyperactive and loud and occasionally obnoxious - but when you know you've picked up a character, and you're neither posting nor spamming with them beyond a last moment sidestepping of the inactivity list? It makes people - mostly the people in your crew - significantly unhappy. And they can and will remark on this behaviour at the complaint thread.

Just a thought.

V. You are required to post at least ONCE a month - the absence of a one such post will result in your character's being placed on the inactivity list below.

If you are re-picking a character from the inactivity list, you are required to make two posts for him/her for July. Likewise, if you happen to know someone is hiatused, please leave a note. If the character has been dropped already, let it slide.

Just that if ye wanna be truly secure, you need to check the end-month list with both the Add and the Remove one [you never know if they were both updated without the slightest error], and that takes far more than to just add'em again on the remove, even if they were dropped.

And in regards to the multiple versions, where is the standing with alternate universes? ...not that this applies to me yet. u__u

Well, we'd need to look into the issue directly. In some situations, alternative universes are completely acceptable - take X!Seishirou and TRC!Seishirou. With the exception of a select few base elements, their personalities and histories are remarkably different. We'd allow those, because they pretty much only share a face, name, and obsession with a person bearing the same person. They don't have common experiences.

So all in all - we'd have to look into just how closely connected the two versions - regular and AU - are. Hope that makes sense!
