Sort of a random thing but oh yay a place to mention it.

For those of us who are lazy and use the poly friends page rather than our own - we totally miss any mod announcements like these. I always seem to stop by a day late and a dollar short because someone asked my opinion on the latest mod post and got a resounding 'bzuh'?

Either posting these in poly_extra or just putting a little note in poly extra when they go up would be awesome. Or I could just try to remember to check the main page more often.

Oh, also, at least one of the deities has not joined the main poly comm and thus I always miss his posts, too. Not looking at Paulie anyone in particular.

To be honest we strongly discourage people from using the Polychromatic friends page instead of their own characters'.

We put a lot of effort into trying to keep the Friends Add/Remove list constantly updated, and we would appreciate if players would use it. Of course, we understand it can be trying to have all of your characters constantly have to remove and add the lists, so the best way to handle it is to just pick the character you use the most and have them check the Friends Add post on a regular basis and keep their friends page updated.

By doing that, you would be fixing all of those problems you just mentioned, and it really isn't much effort on your part to simply visit the Friend Add post every few days and copy paste the latest Add/Remove lists for the month.

Ah okay. It actively suggests using the poly friends page rather than your own on at least one of the admin pages, which is why I've stuck to it since I was new. Also because I got hopelessly confused with the friend add limits and now worry about who I'm missing.

I have been working on getting my own flist straightened out for that very reason, but thought I'd mention it for the sake of other muns who are following the same suggestion I did.

Well with the Friend Add limit, just add one third one day, then wait 24 hours and add the second third the next day, and so forth. Once that's caught up, all you have to do is just be sure to keep adding the most recent adds and you won't have to bother with the top three boxes ever again~!

XD I'll go on the hunt. It actually mentions it at the top of the friends add page - calling it inelegant but not discouraging - but I'm sure there was somewhere else I picked it up from.

Well, yes, of course you're ALLOWED to use the Poly friends page, but what we mean there is that if you miss important posts because of it, that falls on your own shoulders.
