Easy access taken character information

Jade here. I've been wanting to do this long before I became a mod. Now that I'm almost two weeks into my tenure, I wish to present you with this:

POLYchromatic Taken Character List - The Spreadsheet

It's not sexy, but it is convenient. Is it comprehensive? That's where we have to rely on you. Please take a look at the spreadsheet (no log-in of any sort is required) and determine whether all of your characters are listed. (Brand new characters as of the past 48 hours are likely not on here, please give me a poke and a link so we can get you on here.)

If a character of yours is missing, go HERE and fill out the appropriate information in your fandom for your character. We'll get the email and the spreadsheet will be promptly updated.

If your character actually is on the Taken Character List and was somehow overlooked in the massive c/p job of every single entry in every single fandom in that list (done by a volunteer whose babies I would almost gladly have) let us know here and it will be updated ASAP.

Keeping this spreadsheet up to date will be one of my duties as a mod. Any time you see something amiss on it, please draw it to my attention so we can keep things all nice and shiny.

We also have a question for you. You'll note that this spreadsheet currently publicly lists only Fandom, Character Name, and Character LJ. It privately lists the other information from the taken character list like Player Nick, Player Messenger, and Player Email. Do you want that information also publicly listed on the spreadsheet? (Please answer the poll with one journal only.)

If the majority of the comm wants the contact info on the spreadsheet, can players go ahead and ask on an individual basis that the information not be included?

Tough one, Jen. The problem here doesn't even have to do with whether it's convenient or inconvenient for me. It's weighing out the fact that if the majority of the comm votes in favor of public details, they're voting to see your details, too.

However, if you would rather have details that don't lead directly to your home, as it were, I would see that as utterly fair. Different email from your main, alternate IM. Just so long as there is some means of staying in touch.

Two small things... Under D. Gray-man, you have the old Road who was dropped (compassion_less) listed as well as the new one (this account). Also, it's "Tales of the Abyss" not "Tales of Abyss." Both of those are issues with the Taken Characters list itself, though.

Got it. Can you check the Taken Characters list and make sure that your characters are in the right category? I'm at work and can't do that from here. If they aren't, either put them in the right category if it exists, or request one from the main post. Thanks!
