How do they do it?
How about a non-policy, non-plot, non-meme, non-HMD main comm post?
Eh, I thought we'd give it a go for a lark.
You all know the player side of applications: you put in your lovingly-crafted applications and then you sit on tenterhooks wondering just what it is we're doing in the back room with your babies.
Occasionally we toss a couple in the pot for stew, hey, mods gotta eat, too but what we usually do is this.
Go have a gander, drop in any questions or comments, and don't forget the cake at the bottom.Made with real babies.

This would've been so much more efficient and orderly. Really, kudos to whoever came up with the idea. X3

And yeah, maintaining all of that can be such a pain, but they look so pretty once you're done, right? You get that sense of accomplishment. (God, I'm such an OCD freak.)
Like seriously, I was grinning from ear to ear when I saw the Google document and how well-organized it was. XD
And I'm sure the rest of the team really appreciates your efforts. OR IF THEY DON'T, THEY SHOULD.

I learned a lot from another game I started with a friend. We had google from the gitgo, so when I came on as a mod, I wanted a centralized source for information. An awesome friend of mine was cool enough to go through the entire taken list c/ping each entry into a Word doc so I could clean it up and convert it to Excel. So I always try to give her some love for being the spreadsheet's midwife.
But it's not all me, me, me, trust me. This just happens to focus on the two areas where I do my mod work. I don't touch the taken list or destinations or the other jillion things that keep poly going.

Seriously, a place as large as Poly, I'm sure all of you guys have epic jobs to do, and it must keep you real busy. >_>
I've never done much with Google, myself. Daddy works at Microsoft, so I'm a Microsoftie at heart. X3 *even uses hotmail*
<_< *snags a part of your will* ♥

Thumbs up on the review process over here.

Seriously though, that was very enlightening. More communities with big applications should do things like this...

I think I had a little too much fun with Cosmo and Wanda, actually.
It's one of those things where transparency can both help and hinder. So we have this demo model. When you're waiting, it's easy to come up with all sorts of scenarios, after all.
