Re: The Byronic Hero: I would sooner do a complete memory wipe and reset on Cain than have him leave permanently. I do think he'll take a vacation at home maybe in another year or two (I sent him home for a week last Christmas) just so he doesn't get too removed from his own world. That's the bit that sometimes worries me: he's removed, but not distant. That was a little mysterious, but, anyway... Thank you, so so much. I love playing him, I love writing for him, I love getting him in trouble. I want to get more stuff going on with him, and I think the box plot may just get something rolling with that. But thank you ;; Every HMD I'm reminded how tl;dr I am and every HMD I promise to do better and every day after I fail to trim the verbiage. But I'm glad you like it ♥ I'm just really glad you like him and I hope I can keep up the good writing for him ♥ It's good to know my favorite character to play is liked by other players.
Re: Little Girl Lost: Thank you so much! She's a lot of fun to write and throw around with the other children in the City, but guh, no, child characters aren't easy to write for. I learned that the first time I tried to write child!Cain during a curse: he was ten, not three, but he sounded like he was three. And the thing about Alice is that she's pretty bright, even if she is seven years old. The thing about young characters is that they have to sound young without sounding stupid, and that can be extremely tricky. (My trick? I'll tell it just for lols: rereading Alice in Wonderland, of course, but also other books or movies with young, bright characters in them--the first Harry Potter, for example, or The Chronicles of Narnia.) It's hard to balance young-but-smart, so I'm glad that it seems like it's working so far |D I really love Alice interacting with Rosella--they're two peas in a pod in some ways--and I hope we can keep that up for a long time.
Re: That Other King: I hate to play favorites, but I think Ed has the best story out of all of them. I mean, he gets some angst and pain and suffering. The kid is nearly killed. More than once! He's got stuff on his mind and things to worry about. He's interesting, and I didn't realize quite how interesting until I got into writing my app for him. He and Susan are the Wall of Reason as Haku said. He'll just keep facepalming and sighing at those shenanigans (not that he doesn't get into them himself too, of course). Ah well. Please throw anyone you like at anyone I've got. Troll everyone. I love any and all interactions because they set up new CR, new situations, new problems, new things to talk about. So troll, talk to, bother, enrage, do as you please with any of mine :3
Really, if I can just say so, it's an absolute pleasure to RP with you. I'm glad so many of my characters can talk to yours. I hope we can keep it up for a very long time to come ♥
