I know nothing about Priestly's canon but I adore him simply for his interactions with Shalimar. He's so nice to her despite the fact that he knows very little about her and she's a bit off at times. She's not used to nice people. I love how he handled her as a kid and then didn't ask questions about her explanation of what had happened. Though she hopes she never has to explain this weekends curse to anyone.

In conclusion I think he's awesome and fun.
