So, two things on today’s check list:

o1. First up: application journal samples. We’ve been noticing an increasing trend of adding a lot of action tags, or commentary justifying characters’ actions / explaining their thought process in the journal sample. While it’s definitely cool to go with a voice, or even video post for your app’s journal sample, we’d rather these kind of explanatory tags were kept to a minimum, and that you give us more to work with in terms of what the characters says, and how s/he sounds. We’re presumably gonna have the log sample to see why s/he says those kinda things, so don’t worry about being misunderstood. We just need to get a solid feel of the voice you want to give that character. If you’re dealing with characters who are very, very quiet by nature (sup, silent, brooding types), at least try to provide a couple of comments that convey their general atmosphere. Iiiiiiiit really helps us out.

We edited the APPLICATION NOTES to include this tl;dr, but figured to give a heads up to those of you who are probably more familiar with the app system and don’t check that page anymore. Any questions, go for it.

I am looking to app one of the Crow Girls from Charles de Lint's Newford series, but particularly the book Someplace to be Flying. Where there is one crow girl, there always is the other. OFFERING: I've been dithering on a third character for a while. The question isn't whom to app, necessarily, but whom to app first. The choices are:

Lafarga - bringing MKR crew ever-closer to achieving my personal goal of having a complete set of Cephirans with one of the more obscure characters. He'll require a canon review... or not. Honestly, I bet I could wing it on just what I've got memorized. The hardest part about apping him will be that he's even more stoic and humorless than Clef and his personality would be difficult to pinpoint. Also, do I app him from when he's still under the Imperius curse Zagato's spell for more drama, or from Series 2 or post-canon? Decisions, decisions.

Zazu Torque - I love me some precocious shotas, okay. This would complete the Autozam crew, even though I'd definitely be apping from the manga. He'll definitely require a canon review, though. Pluuuuuussss... I think he'd have a totally different take on City life than his two countrymen and I don't want to mess up the trio's dynamic with that. So, I'm kinda dithering. Hmm.

Zuuko Ichihara - NOT A CLAMP CHARACTER :O I stiiiiiill need to finish the gd series but. But. ILhim so hard. So, do I wait until I'm done with ATLA to app anyone? Or what?

WANTED: I know there's already an ad for MKR crew, but. I have some specific requisittttttes~~~ that I would like to emphasize. Note how they all have black hair, incredible amounts of angst, and are former students of Clef's. He misses them, you guys. ;_; Don't make me get out the wibble icon.

Alcyone - Part-time dominatrix (but she's a switch for Zagato ♥). We really don't see any side of her personality in canon other than CRAZY-ASS BITCH, but who doesn't love that? We need more crazy-ass bitches in this crew.

Lantis - Part-time Autozamian. He's the guy who realizes his brother is in love with the Pillar and responds by... bravely running away. We don't blame him, though. Conflict avoidance - he totally takes after his teacher. Also part of a hot OT3 involving Eagle. Who doesn't want that?

Zagato - Part-time bad guy. ... Okay, I'll admit. We don't know much about this guy's personality, but I do know? He's probably a snarkpot. Snark is love, and love is what makes the world go round, right? App him for meeeeee. *~* ♥

Alexis Hargreaves - Complete Monster to the millionth degree, but suave and crazy-intelligent. App him and watch Jezebel and Cain's daddy issues go haywire!

Cassian - A 36 year-old man trapped in a kid's body who works as Jezebel's assistant, and the only member of Delilah who seems to be afflicted by this off malady called "common sense". IF YOU APP HIM I WILL ADORE YOU FOR ETERNITY.

Crehador - Snarky magician/medium who wears very excellent clothing

Oscar - Good-hearted but kind of stupid guy who has a thing for Mary even though she's ten and he's around twenty. He's less creepy than he sounds.

Mikaela - A Deadly Doll who controls insects and really really really likes Cain.

Cassandra aka Rapey McRaperton - An incredibly creepy guy who manages to be one of the most skin-crawlingest villains in a series that is chock full of skin-crawling villains.

IDK what he'd do with Jez, though. I would say he'd pimpslap the daddy worship out of him, but that might just be my tendency to Chuck Norris-ify my favorite characters talking.
