You spoke loud and clear on our recent poll regarding activity on polychromatic, so here's a breakdown of changes we are making in response.

From now on, starting this next activity month, we will take action without three official inactivity complaints.

Situations in which we may take action without 3 complaints include:

♦ when a player makes the inactivity list more than one month in a row with a specific character
♦ when a player makes the inactivity list more than one month in a row with any character

Don't be alarmed just yet. We know some people who have six or more characters may fall into an activity slump. Just because you made the Inactivity List with Character A in August then Character B in September does not mean action will be taken against you immediately. This will primarily be exercised when a player has various characters constantly making inactivity lists, even with more than one in repeated months, making it clear that they may have a chronic activity problem. Making the Inactivity List with Character A in August then again with Character A in September is a different story. We will be reviewing any complaint submissions if they have been made, hiatus notices if they have been filed, and your activity pattern in general before coming to a decision on what action should be taken.

Action for inactivity will now include:

♦ suspension from applying new characters during the month of their probation
♦ request to drop inactive characters

These actions may be taken together (drop characters and application probation) or separately (application probation but not character drops). These actions are for those with chronic inactivity issues. You will not be asked to do one or the other for making the Inactivity List once or twice or sporadically. We aim to exercise the fairest discretion and judgment in these cases.

We'd like to remind the community as well that while we don't object to character journal entries being locked only to specific characters, these entries do not count towards activity, specifically when they are for the purpose of action spam between only select characters. You are free to make these types of entries, and we encourage you to do so in [info]tampered or to have a portion of the entry connected to the network itself, but just keep in mind that they will not count during Activity Checks.
