The time has come once again, POLYchromatic! Those of you who've been with us for a while- welcome back, and to newcomers, hey, come on in, don't be shy! We don't make a habit of biting too hard, and we always practice the use of safe words.

This HMD here is the chance for you to provide feedback for your fellow players, whether it be praise or critique. So let's cut to it!

Praise; Everyone likes to hear that they're doing well, let's not pretend~ However, let's also try and provide a bit more than random <3!!!ing and "omg ilu have my babies" (because let's face it, we here at POLY can't afford any more child support mmk). Throw some thought in to your praise for added enjoyment of the recipient. "I love your portrayal of Jane, especially watching her relationship with John, and how she's struggling over events in her canon." Praise is awesome- but let's spice it up, ladies and gents.

Crit; Unlike praise, not many people enjoy being told someone doesn't like how they play a character. However, if you have something to say- say it, but let's remember our manners. There's no need to personally attack anyone, or to rip in to them without leaving room for explanation. We here at POLYchromatic encourage constructive criticism. Not liking how Greg is developing? Ask Greg's player why they've decided to take him that route. Not a fan of Sally's frequent flings? Ask Sally's player what brought that on. Confused as to when in canon it said Tom liked bananas that much? Ask Tom's player where they're coming from- you never know, it may turn out that Tom was cursed months ago, a friend played a prank, and now he has a liking for them. Point is- let's just remember manners. All players here deserve common courtesy, even if you may not like how they're playing.

On Anon; Way back in POLY's day, we had a vote that ended with anon commenting being disabled here in the community's HMD post. And in the last poll re: bringing back anon or not, it was decided to keep anon disabled. But people might have anonymous commentary they'd like to leave, so we encourage not only having anon-enabled IP-disabled crit posts available for others to use, but we also encourage linking them here for those who wish to use them.

Fancy Things; Please remember our requests regarding sparkles, images, embedded media, and other bits of coding. A little variation on the comment form is fine and dandy, and putting things like gifs or videos behind links or in collapsed threads is fine too, but please consider the loading time for others with slower connections.

You play such a wide variety of characters, I love that! Your Lucy was so good and I'm going to miss being able to hit her with Tianzi ;; WELL I WILL ON 4TH WALL DAY, BUT. I still need to type up that goodbye letter for Lucy but it's so sad I don't want to ;;

-Rosella's slowly but surely pulling herself out of her emotional slump, which is good and I'm pretty happy with the progress she's made since last HMD.
-Proto's going home next month, so this will be his last HMD and I am sad about that.
-Rudy hopefully still sounds appropriately Canadian and 80's. Also, I hope I've been striking a decent balance between abrasive and conversational; he's supposed to be a deadpan snarker who hates being forced into social interaction, but he shouldn't be outright mean. Just kind of generally difficult and unpleasant, with lots and lots of complex layers beneath the surface.
-Finnick's first HMD! I would especially like to hear people's thoughts on him because he's very different from my usual type of character, and it's sometimes hard to work all his complexities into play in believable ways. I am still nervous about him so please be gentle.

Also, I love answering questions about the thoughts/motivations/nuances/etc. of my characters, so please feel free to ask and potentially get a wall of my tl;dr in return! ♥

Royal Prim Princess of the country of no logic: I love that she's got such defined arcs. I think the fact that you post a private, diary-style entry really helps track her, especially how her moods fluctuate and change, and it's kind of nice. I think you do a great job rounding her out - she has her primness and her properness and she has her sweet and lovely sides, but she can also be so stubborn. I'm looking forward to having Saya bring home crazies for Rosella to deal with!

The most famous face in all of Panem: I know you're worried about him, but I really love how you play Finnick. I think you balance his flirtiness with his seriousness really well, particularly in who he chooses to let in. Naturally Cinna gets closer than even, I think, Katniss and Peeta, who get more of the 'face' of Panem. I wish that the ladies he flirted with weren't so quick to pick up that he doesn't mean anything but that's hardly your fault - I think you play up his charm really well. I love his relationship with Peeta, and how it's sort of this...dance of masks.

My suggestions re: Finn would naturally be to keep him giving only the facade to most people and letting in a very precious few, but I think you're pretty good at that already, so! Keep up the good work!

I still don't know any of your canons (what is this, SOB) but I adore Celty. I think she's such a mix of funny and tragic, what with a missing head, but you pull it off without making it lean too much in either direction. I love having her to play Eden off of, because it's helped me with my development for Eden!

I need to hit up your characters more often, Rizu. I'll miss Tianzi foreveeeer.

ANYWAY.

I love the variety of characters you have, from your green-eyed tough guy to your crazed rapist. I feel like you definitely have a voice for all of them, and they're all really clear, and they don't bleed together (rehash, rehash, rehash). BUT BEYOND THAT you know I love playing with you, and you know I love what you do.

I think that some of your strongest RP comes through when you're working on a long-term plot or long-term characters stuff (particularly with Caspian and Freddy) and I love seeing that come out in how you build your characters.

Now if we can only get a shark up in here................../shot again

Takes this with a very, very heavy grain of salt, because I'm always worried about bias re: opinions on characters I've written in any context ---

I actually like the voice you've given him, and that you cover a solid range from "you idiots -_- " to arrogance, from generous gentleman to brat. One thing I'd like to see more of would be maybe an edge of tension, of his penchant for extremes: Ciel has moments of conflict with Sebastian and with himself, and it could be interesting to see how he explores that in the City (unless you already have in some threads, I R bad stalker T_T). Buuuuut as an overall, I really enjoy reading your Ciel, he's one of the best I've ever seen, orz.

Molly Molly Molly! I'm so excited to see you play Mr. White, because I think you've genuinely not only got him down, but it seems to me like you really enjoy playing him, and you're excited about it. I love how he's got this balance of criminal and gentleman, which I really gleaned from him from the movie with how he not only treats Freddy but with how he treats Pink, and Joe, and even to an extent, Blonde. His Alpha-maleness is fantastic.

I would love to see Su tagging around more. I know you're busy so it's kind of impossible to get out there, though!

I am consistently impressed with House, too. You manage to bring in that fantastic House snark and mix it with medicine. I was reading his thread with Chase yesterday and I was just so blown away with how well you play him.

Re: Sumeragi + TREE - Depressed characters aren't easy to play and I appreciate that you don't force him out of his 'wild brokeness'. Whenever he interacts with people, there's always a sense of 'something isn't quite right' lingering about him and I think that's kind of important in regards to how he is. I also appreciate that you can tag with him despite this sort of brokeness. On that note, I'm looking forward to seeing him with his sister more, because that is something 'repairing' for him.

Re: The Glitter King - I know to an enormous extent, Tamaki is almost 99% crack. I liked seeing him the other day in the train because it wasn't a glittery kind of thing. I don't know how you're going to deal with the repercussions of that incident, but I hope you do. I know that almost right afterward, Kyouya arrived and that distracted Tamaki, so I'm wondering if you have plans, or what you intend to do! Otherwise I think his voice is lovely, but I would like to see more of Tamaki's gentlemanly, sweet side, as much as his spastic over the top side (of course I could just be missing threads, which is highly possible, so if that's the case, please regard Mici as completely full of it).

Hey, Ellie!

I think that there are definite dimensions to Ginny Weasley and like you said, you've been away, so this might get a little bit scattered, and for that I apologize.

I do like her voice - when she speaks it comes out very naturally, which I feel is important for Ginny, because she's not someone who constructs a facade for herself. She's genuinely herself 100% of the time, and I like that.

Now what I do have some trouble with is how she reacts to others. Example: Finnick. Finnick's a huge flirt, and obviously that's something in canon that Ginny deals with a lot, but I don't think that her initial reaction would be to roll her eyes. The reasons I think this is because, for a huge percentage of her current life, Ginny has been that flirt, and I think that her response, even though now she comes from a point where she's in love with Harry, isn't really genuine. I think she would be far, far more open to flirting and being flirted with and a lot less quick to call Finnick out, particularly on how she thinks of him (which she's spoken with Peeta about).

While this is an example, and I know you like her spitfire side, I think that sometimes it goes a little too far, and I would like to see more of the side of Ginny that's less combative, especially here in the City where, arguably, the danger (like, say, Voldemort) is so mild. I really do like how she speaks to Edmund, for instance - with less of that fire and more of the caring. I hope this made sense!

I don't have much for you because I don't know the canons, however! Ray makes me laugh, and Ray's relationship (hatetionship?) with Eden is something that I'm really interested in developing! You do a great job making him both hilarious and, I think, you're not afraid of having him make non-friends which I think is fantastic. Good job!

I keep meaning to play with Nekozawa and I keep...completely failing at it, so I apologize for that. BUT! After what happened with Maria in the train plot and Tamaki's push to find a Female Presence For Maria's Upbringing, I'll hopefully be able to get Rosella talking to him soon, so!

I've always liked the voice you have for Nekozawa and how you use hmtl to differentiate between his ~eerie voice~ and his actual one, which I think is a really nice touch. I also love seeing him troll Tamaki with Belzeneff and the hilarity they get up to with that. I'd really like to see him out and about a bit more, though--I think he's definitely found his niche with Maria and the dark magic discussions that come with that, but I'd love to see him branch out and discover a few other characters to get involved with, too. (And if he already has and it is merely that my stalker-fu has failed me, feel free to let me know. ♥)

Really, I think Nekozawa is lovely and you do a great job. Keep it up!

While I might be just a biiit biased since I don't know the canon...I adore your Tyr so, so much! I like that he's a bit of a tease when the mood strikes him, especially considering everything he's had to go through. Speaking of which, I always feel bad for his situation with the Soul Eater. The thread with demon!Kanone as well as everything since really tugs on the heartstrings. :<

Also, Tyr/Katara. I ship it so hard by now.

I have to say, I really enjoyed Suzaku's list/reaction to his list! It was really interesting to see his thoughts on that, especially in his thread with Euphie. I'm always happy to thread with Suzaku! He's just so...incredibly adorable. I have no complaints at all! Admittedly it's been a long time since I last watched Geass, but I can still hear his voice so clearly!
