Not really a request list so much as a thought--would it be helpful, maybe, to follow up enabling posts like this with a Test Drive Meme™ in poly_crack, like a day or two after, so that the people feeling enabled have an opportunity to actually play their potential muse off of existing Poly characters before they app into the game?

Obviously, none of it would carry over into Poly canon proper, but it'd at least give people a chance to test out voices and bounce them off of people in Poly without going to dear_mun or museboxes.

Eriol is fun to play on his own, but he really shines when he's being the creeper that he is with castmates. ♥

I'm considering maybe a Dragon Age character, since I just got into that game and I love it. Maybe Leliana or Wynne.

Want to See Apped
Well, we can never have too many Mass Effect castmates. Perhaps Tali, Wrex, Kaiden, Ashley, Joker, Legion, Liara, Thane, Zaeed, or even Saren.

Some more Transformers would be nice too, like Prowl, Ratchet, or Jazz. Going into different continuities, Barricade and/or Frenzy from the movies would be fun too.

Rummy's still holding out for Ed Wuncler III.

There's also a few non-canonmate characters I wouldn't mind seeing here.

So, since I have not pimped for my one cast ever since I apped, I figured, you know, I should do that! The Demon's Lexicon is the first book in a YA urban fantasy trilogy about two brothers on the run, occasionally tangling with demons as they--wait, where are you going? Come back!

Despite all odds, it is a decently original take on what could have been a very cliched concept, with a cute, mouthy cast of characters that belong in the city yesterday. I have been promised a Jamie, but I have need of (at least) three other characters in my life. Here they are, split up into comments!

THE CHICK. WITH THE KNIVES.

Where to start with Sin? She's a dancer. She can throw knives. She's cunning and charming with a really vicious streak. She's in line to lead the Goblin Market, an underground gathering to trade weapons and charms against the magicians. And she is really attractive--a fact that she uses, always to her own advantage.

“I can’t count the ways you make me sick,” she said conversationally to Alan. “Besides the obvious. Stay out of my way. And don’t you dare interfere with any of my audiences ever again.”

“He was a creep,” Alan mumbled. “It’s wrong to objectify women.”

Alan was supposed to be so smart: Sin could not understand why he didn’t see that he was insulting her by implying she hadn’t known exactly what she was doing--and exactly what that guy was. She let her sister run to Trish and stepped in close to Alan, whose eyes widened slightly. She concentrated her gaze past him until he turned to follow it, and saw who she was watching.

Sin's smile widened, slow and sweet. “Guess what,” she said. “I’m objectifying your brother right now.”

She also hates Alan. For good reason! App Sin and hate on Alan daily and nightly and ever so rightly.

I would still love to see INCEPTION crew, even "less popular" characters like Yusuf and Nash. Yes, you read right, even Nash. Nash is a lovely architect and should not be overlooked just because he sweats. ;;

As for picking up, uh. I've been giving Reservoir Dogs and FFXIII the side-eye, because I think I want at least one more character to hit up the kind of posts Eames doesn't know what to do with. I haven't finished the latter yet, though, so I need to actually go out and buy the game to finish up. But I love Fang and Snow, so...

You see, my darlings, I wanted to app Dr. Emmett Brown from Back to the Future. I think he'd have a lot of plotting potential as he took apart and reassembled the technology of the City in new and exciting ways that don't always entirely work as they're intended to.

But... I also used to play Ferris Bueller here at Polychromatic, and now I want to bring him back something fierce.

But yes, as I was saying, real life is crazy busy right now, so neither of them are going to be of immediate concern, but... I so don't know what to do. XD

So I'm going to confess to having any number of characters that I've kicked around apping before (mostly of late). Here then, my confession:

Gonzo. Yes, that Gonzo, but specifically from Muppets from Space, mostly because Muppet canon is so contradictory and odd, so I'd want to contain the odd and focus on the G-man.

Liam Lunettes. From Pandora Hearts, and mostly because our own Xerxes Break player has been trying to talk me into it for an age.

Ran Kotobuki. No, really--from SuperGALS!. Because that was my find-a-happy-place manga when I had a crappy job and I'd like to try playing a character who's strictly lulz someday.

And this is not to mention some characters I'm forgetting, a couple of OCs I've kicked around a bit, and some re-apps I've thought about asdkfjaslkdf.

Um, yes, you may laugh. But if you want one/any/some/several/all of these, I may be enabled.

Otoyomegatari and Kuragehime

Okay, I've got these two muses from obscure canons that I've been thinking about apping for a while. I don't intend to app any time soon necessarily, that would totally change if there was suddenly a cast for either of these guys.

littlesthusband from Otoyomegatari (manga)

Otoyomegatari (A Bride's Story) is a story set in an area of the Silk Road near the Caspian Sea (so that puts them somewhere in Iran, I believe) sometime during what seems to be the 19th century or so. It's about... well, we're not too clear on the plot line at the moment but it starts off being a completely adorable story about a 20-year-old woman (Amira) who gets married off to a boy 8 years younger than her (Karluk). Except then her family decides they want her back.

Right now the story is focusing more on Smith, the anthropologist from England who lived with Karluk's family, and his adventures with a hot young widow whose mother-in-law wants to marry her off to him. So, but the general theme of this story is definitely marriage.

Characters wanted: Smith, Pariya (total tsundere chick), Karluk's ENTIRE FUCKING FAMILY EVEN THE BBS FUCK YEAH, Amira's derpy brothers(???)
Characters offered: Karluk & Amira

orenohime from Kuragehime (anime)

This story is about some diehard female otaku (for things that aren't anime - like, trains, old men, and Romance of the Three Kingdoms) and one fashion-obsessed young man (Kuranosuke) who crossdresses convincingly enough that this vehemently anti-male group grudgingly (because he's a "stylish") allow him into their fold. At the same time, there's the threat that the building the otaku chicks are living in is going to be sold to build a hotel/strip mall. And there are lots of horribly dysfunctional characters.

Characters wanted: ALL OF THE OTAKU CHICKS FUCK YEAH, Shu (Kuranosuke's older brother), whatsherface (that hot bitch who wants to tear the building down, rar.)

I'm currently thinking of apping Tavi from Jim Butcher's Codex Alera, so aaaaaaaaaaanny future crew mates for him (Kitai! Max! Bernard or Isana or Amara or ANYONE REALLY) would be utterly amazing.

... Of course, I'm also thinking of apping Lanie from Castle or bringing Cat from Jeanine Frost's Red Reaper series back. Though I don't think anyone still remembers her, she was tons of fun.

FINAL FANTASY XIII!!!

Currently we have: Nillabean and Raito (aka Vanille and Lightning).

Currently we want: EVERYONE!! Not just the main cast, but also Serah, Cid, Rygdea, Yaag, Jihl-- hell, even Barthandelus! And let's not forget NORA, either, though I would seriously love and be impressed by anyone if they decided to pick up one of the characters that appear for about five minutes (._.)9

The perks for you: You get Haku and I as castmates...? What, you mean you want other perks? WHAT IS THIS. But well, let's consider Final Fantasy XIII for a moment: it is very pretty, it has very pretty men and women in it, it has amazingly kickass FMVs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlfuAfZKWBI&feature=related) (spoilery for up to chapter 12, actual FMV starts at 7:38, but also amazingly kickass!) and it is just generally awesome.

Plus, there are many jokes to be made about the Ravager paradigm shift. And whatever the hell Vanille does (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20eaIAPTXOk) when she summons her Eidolon, specifically at the end. (Whatever the hell she does in battle in general is also a concern, though, you'll be pleased to know!)

SO, BASICALLY: you are really missing out without this game in your life. And you are also definitely missing out without having one of these amazing characters as a muse. C:

Like any Guy Ritchie film, Rocknrolla is populated by bumbling small time crooks who somehow get pulled into a grand, sprawling scheme so-much-bigger than themselves (usually involving badass Eastern European crime syndicates, machetes or heavy artillery, and at least one crotchety English BAMF crimelord). Also per usual, this is the result of a misplaced something -- like the case in Pulp Fiction or a Very Important Letter in Jane Austen novels. In Rocknrolla's case: a painting.

Not that any of this is important. What's important to know is that the group of down-on-their-luck felons includes King Leonidas, Heimdall, and Eames (http://www.cbc.ca/gfx/images/arts/photos/2008/10/08/arts_rocknrolla_584.jpg), each toting criminally-bestowed nicknames like One Two, Mumbles and Handsome Bob. They're also bros with Mr. This-is-Sparta as their ringleader, part of a gang of no-name ne'erdowells called the Wild Bunch.

Given how much I find PB confusion amusing/can lead to interesting and/or weird CR in a game setting (and how Handsome Bob is the marshmallow center to a Guy Ritchie film, of all things), I've considered apping him despite the fact that I JUST APPED SOMEBODY. But Bob isn't nearly the same without his crew (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOrFcAYt84Y&feature=related). So.

IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE POSSIBLY PLAYING FROM ROCKNROLLA?
