Ahoy, fine Citizens! Good work on coming together to take down the harpy lairs! Once that's accomplished, expect the generators on the four locations to start dutifully feeding off the magic and energy of the (N)PCs around them, powering up the secondary barrier.

We're aware that recent eljay downtime has made it difficult to get together and keep up, so we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to play out harpy attacks / generator rescue for another day. Alternatively, backtag and back date posts to your heart's content! Nonetheless, by tonight, at 2 a.m., this new barrier should reinstate shields around the City, preventing further harpies from coming in; our finely-winged ladies will still try for a couple more hours after, and Citizens are welcome to notice their attempts to dive in... and their result of hitting the equivalent of a transparent surface. Ouch.

Perhaps more importantly, the new barrier will also eliminate the need that some residents have been feeling to get out at all, often lethal costs. Sadly, this comes at the price of the return of the 'invisible cage,' as flying or sailing away from the City will once more become an impossibility. For the time.

The revival of the barriers will be marked by yet another sudden Clock beat, followed by a return to the now usual silence. All throughout tonight (past 2.a.m.) and tomorrow night, as the barriers come together again, Citizens will be treated to quite the beautiful view in their skies:

Couple of notes:
  • while no more harpies can come in once the shields are up, some of the creatures may have lingered from previous attacks! Citizens can still run missions to eradicate the last of their grounded, or hiding intruders.
  • characters studying the remains of the primary barrier can still play around with researching that.
  • as the omens described here weren't triggered by the harpy event, they can still be used in gameplay hereon too /o.

  • Thank you for organizing a nice City rescue, everyone!

With the ticking gone, does that mean characters won't gradually be driven insane if they don't have company/interact with others?

:D This has been a great plot, I've really loved it. Hanna will indeed be studying the old barrier, fighting off the leftover harpies, and continuing to investigate the omens.

Not to mention the lack of ticking. He'll wanna look into that, I imagine.
