Poly's Halloween Event is upon us and things are going to get pretty freaky. Beginning October 23 characters may find themselves transformed into terrible monstrous beings. Who knows why this is happening, it just is.

Maybe they're a bloodsucking leech.


A flea bitten mongrel.


Someone waiting to put a spell on you.


A vengeful once entombed beloved.


Searching for a sailor bold.


That toy in the corner you swear is breathing.


One of the hungry...very very hungry.


Or just a ghost who wants to keep you.


You can go traditional or modern, supernatural or scientific. How you interpret the nature of the beast is up to you. You may have your character's mental state changed into believing he or she always was a monster or they can maintain their original states of mind and frrreeeeak out over their transformation. The sky's the limit here which is all we can really say for now other than yes some monsterfied characters can create other monsterfied characters (vampire siring, zombie bites, etc), yes there will be a way for characters to return to normal (dramatically, violently, comically, and/or casually), and yes this event has a Death Exemption for all characters either monsterfied or killed by a monster. Characters who are already canonically a vampire or werewolf and what not have the option of becoming completely living breathing and vulnerably human for the duration of the event.

There will be more information about why this is happening and what the exact means of reversal are closer to the start of the event! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and feel free to discuss or plot potential monsters here ♥

I am not sure when/how I will post, but.

1. had_not_lived is going to be a vampire, a la My Best Friend Is A Vampire, because well it's just fated to be obviously.

2. I'm tempted to make never_very_good a werewolf because for obvious reasons he's usually a vampire when things go sideways, and I think it'd be funny.

3. cold_dry_pieces, as_damaged, and team_sociopath are all up for plotting grabs if people want to do things with them 8)

Long story short:

Does anyone want to be possessed and have their stuff stolen? Possession will only last a few minutes (10, 15) and your character will only remember flashes of getting stuff and putting it away but not where they put it or why they did it.

Saya has a pathological disgust of the things (it has to do with the nutty World of Darkness backstory) and if you want your werewolf to die at some point so your character can get back to normal, I am putting her up to do some werewolf killing. There are so many choices! She can poison them or break necks or maybe just run them down with a car and back up and run them down again.
