IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hey Poly,

We, your mod team, have some sad news. After a lot of deliberating, and a lot of discussion, and a lot of observation of the state of the game, we decided that we’re officially closing Polychromatic. We decided that we love this game and we love you guys, but that it's become increasingly obvious that it's time for us to enter endgame.

We want to be really clear: we’re really sad about this decision, but we wanted to give Poly an ending that it deserves. We’re an old game - almost eight years old! And that deserves an end. For several of us on the mod team, it was our first LJ/DWRP experience, and we know that for a lot of you it was the same. We didn’t want just it to limp out into nothing.

That said, we have a timeline. February will be the last month of Polychromatic, with the game officially closing on March 1st. AC will be suspended for both January and February, and apps will close on February 1st. There will be a month of favorite curses in February, and an endgame in the last week of the month.

We love you guys and we love the game, and we’re so honored that you guys stuck with us for so long. Thank you so much for all your dedication and loving hard work. I know that those of us on the modteam are going to remember this game with a lot of fondness and we hope that you guys do, too. What this game is and was is definitely something that will stick with us.

It was good times, Polychromatic. Please help us end the story just as we started, together. Let’s let this last month and a half go out with a bang!

This has been my home game since 2009. My bestest friends -- hell, most of my friends in general -- I met through this game. It's been a huge part of my life and I will miss it so much.

Oh my god, I always said Rosella was going to stick it out to the end of the City but I never actually thought she'd make it to the end of the City.

Man, Poly was really my first big RP experience--December 20th of this past year marked six years, I think, from the time I apped my first character (and August 2 of this year would've been Rosella's six-year anniversary, herself)--and I've had so many good memories here with all the characters I've played. You guys are wonderful, all of you, and it's been an honor and a privilege to play with you all this time.

Well that's unfortunate. I just put my reserve in yesterday. I was so excited! I still am. My app is actually almost finished, so I will likely still put it in to jump in on the final days!

Wow. I understand wanting to go out on a high note and eight years is a long time. Poly is awesome and I will miss it and all the people I've had the honour to play with here.

I don't know how it will close, but I will be here to the end.
