Welcome back to our more seasoned members, and welcome to you first-timers.

HMD is the gamewide chance for feedback on playing here in

polychromatic.

And here's our philosophy on HMD: praise--it's all well and good (we all love it, yeah?), so if you want to give praise, love, ♥s, whatever, go for it! It's especially great to say what you ♥ so much about a character. For example, how they acted during X curse or Y plot was great, or how they adjusted (or didn't?) to the City was fascinating. But we all know, constructive crit is best when you're looking for advice on how to improve. What we really encourage here are questions. It gives you the chance to maybe understand something, (and maybe you think it makes sense after all now), and the player a chance to explain. For example:

"How did Gary get from Point A in canon to Point B in Poly? It didn't quite make sense to me."

"What started this whole fascination of Sue's with the bananas?"

And then you find out that there's a long, involved story that goes back six months involving the aftermath of a curse, a lizard, a pound of potatoes, a watermelon, three French maids, and a pogo stick. And then it all makes perfect sense.

Or perhaps it doesn't, but you've started a dialogue about the things you perceive versus the things the player perceives.

My first conquest in nearly three years of being here.

Amoray: PFFT SOB I always enjoyed how out kids could never leave each other alone even after they kept telling each other to leave them alone. I'm kind of sad now that Kate's REALLY gonna never ever speak to Amory again because he crossed the final line but baaaaaw.

That said, I really do have fun tagging Amory. He's not angsty just to be angsty and neither is he a dick for the fun of it. He has his reasons to be one and I find them developed and realistic. All my crit is that he is a good character and you should feel good about him. =D Just be more confident in yourself. I know you worry with him being an OC, but this is a game. Have fun. No one's judging you.

Except me, but then again, I judge everybody. 8D

I want to count all the times they've promised not to speak to each other, only to trip up on their next post. really do love their interaction, and I'm sad that he's really severed every bit of Kate's patience. Which he probably has- definitely has. maybe it'll have to involve letting some cats out of the bag, which hopefully won't backfire and scratch him in the face.

ffff. Ilu Starrah- skjdhfdljs and I'm so glad you enjoy him, and thank you for developing CR with me that only wants to make me play him more. Interactions with Kate and you kicking me out of my weird complexes idk are part of the reason why I've grown more confident with him. So thank you. <33

I know next to nothing about Tristan's canon, but I enjoyed tagging off him with Tom rather a bit!

As an overall, although I'm ignorant of their canons, I like how individualized the voices of all of your characters are.

It's true that I've seen less of Sakura around - but I think there's also an unfair burden on you, because she's canonically such an active, in-your-face ~~magicku gurrrrrrrrl~~ character. I wouldn't say you're inactive with her, as much as maybe she might need a bit more TLC just cause of her canon spotlight. Don't... stress it too much, imo. Obviously, crew members might feel differently.

I also enjoyed their interaction, and regret not tagging him more- not just for their ~~interaction~~ Tom's mockery, but for the prospect of him discovering that Yvaine's heart = eternal life.

I often fear that I slip my own verbal patterns in their voice, so I'm glad they seem individualized. Especially with the two lolis... /has a thing for little girls idk.

Mm. Well, I've admittedly not posted with her this month. ;; Half because of school, and half because I'm uncertain where to take her. She should be out there and in everyone's face... but the City's a different degree of danger compared to a CLAMP manga (or at least their pure shoujo,) and I'm trying to figure out how to reconcile that and still stay in character.

Aha so Amory.

What the helllllll.

I really like that he just totally is completely non-apologetic and unrepentant. It's really consistent and completely true to how he is. Granted, it makes certain ones of my characters really want to punch him in the face, like all the time, and one day that may actually happen.

I think that Tristan is fantastic. To be honest I never really cared for early-movie Tristan OR Yvaine - I kind of think that they were both really obnoxious, and I think you've captured that obnoxiousness. Trust me, that's a good thing.

I love plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaying with you, you have some fantastic characters and I hope it continues, okay?

Eden can gladly punch him in the face. Or Blue.

I'm happy he comes off that way, as I really want to cement that side of him before giving more screen time to his softer edges- though I've been slipping them in here and there. ~~Or softer innards, to be more exact.~~ JUST DON'T GIVE UP ON HIM, EDEN. he's lost kate already, even if he thinks it's a good thing ~~for now while he fools himself.~~ You can punch him in the face though.

I prefer later movie Tristan far, far more than the current Tristan, but it'll be good contrast for when we finally update them to the end/near the end of the movie. Because he is so frustratingly annoying in the beginning, like a child who needs to be grounded.

Right, okay, now that my penchant for lists has been satisfied...okay, I have never seen Stardust and I admit this, but playing off of Tristan makes me want to SO BAD. I love the interactions he and Rosella have, and I love it when he and Yvaine are both trolling the same post bickering with each other all over and being obnoxious to each other because it's just so hilarious. And it's really sweet how you manage to show that Tristan really is personally invested in Yvaine (more than just that he has to bring her back to Victoria) in the things that he does and the hints of things he lets on, when all the while he's denying that she's anything more than an annoying harpy-woman-star-thing that makes his life miserable. It's fantastic and I really enjoy reading it. ♥

Also I have this secret desire to maybe throw Rosella at Amory someday but somehow I also think doing so would be a recipe for disaster. =D

skljf;dsa Thank you so much! I know I've been awful with Tristan tags lately, dropping them... and lagging on responses,so I apologize for my fail. Tristan would say he may have a small crush on Rosella, if... he didn't have Victoria (and Yvaine, subconsciously) in mind because I don't think he's met a girl so sweet before. Especially when you parallel her against the banshee Yvaine and Miss. Prissybitches Victoria. And to top that all off-- she's a princess. (Victoria isn't even a princess, yet she acts so entitled? DXX)

Rosella already kind of doesn't like Victoria, from everything she's heard about her thus far. She's okay with Yvaine, and will occasionally between her and Tristan, but when it comes right down to it, she's almost always going to take Tristan's side on stuff. 'Cause he's nice, and tends to be in need at times, and she kind of feels like he needs someone to be nice to him and help him out a little bit. She's all messed up emotionally right now, but as soon as she gets back on track in that respect, she'll be back to worrying about Tristan and hoping that everything works out for him in the end.

He works at the Blue Light, doesn't he? So she's probably seen him around before, since she hangs out there fairly often. He might know her as "Blonde Chick In Medieval Peasant Gown Who Hangs Around The Bar" or something, IDK. If the opportunity arises, I will definitely go for it!

Trolling Tristan with Captain Shakespeare was SO MUCH FUN. I really need to troll him with some of my real characters sometime.

Tristan is perfectly on note with voice and motive and slight caring but still overall annoyance with Yvaine. I worry I'm not as good with her as you are with him because I'm...sort of always meshing what I got out of the book into her personality with what I saw in the movie to flesh it out more and so it's like...not as crystal-clear, the parallels when Tristan is kind of like, right THERE and awesome so lmdfsds the only thing I have to say is tell me if you think I'm doing anything out of left field...but nothing to crit YOU on because he's stellar in that very Tristan way.

Sakura....the best one I've seen and I hope that you get the chance to do more with her when time and City allows you...it's been one of my preferred mangas for a long time because I love how cute and uplifting she is and yet how grown-up and capable she becomes without LOSING that....and I think you've captured that wonderfully.

I'll keep on tagging Peter with her, and you don't have to really-- sob. It took awhile for me to really understand, and even now the series keeps on making me rethink everything sob. But... hopefully I will reveal the necessary facts in game. More gracefully than I did with Hei ~~sob you weren't in poly then, I don't think.~~

I couldn't imagine a more perfect Yvaine than yours. When I ready your tags, my mind immediately reads them in Yvaine's voice. They're that IC. I'm happy you like playing with Tristan because why I finally decided to app was thanks to your application ;_; So I'm glad you think I'm doing fine with him, and I can't wait to continue playing as with integrate them further in the game/update them through the movie.

I love playing Sakura- she was one of my first RP characters, so I'm glad she comes off well. Balancing the horrors of the City with her character is difficult, but it's fun to work out... and I really should figure out a way to get her more active again.

OH SIGH AMORY. Sigh I kind of fail with this because I need to finish that log from forever ago and I've been so amazingly fail with it, but I will I will. But then that makes me worry that other conversations are not going as they should and IDK. ANYWAY. Amory is so engaging for such a horrible kid, sob. His attempts at shoving people away are both transparent enough to be understood and forceful enough to seem real, and you don't apologise for how he is. He has such a distinct personality, he's not just one of my favourite OCs, he's one of my favourite characters in game, full stop. I don't comment to everything and sometimes when I do comment there's too much of a wall up there to get much out of it, but the threads that do end up sprawling and strange are fantastic and very natural in that people do end up wandering in conversation between subjects. And despite Amory's backing off there is a relationship there that's still awkward and not-totally-sure but interested enough by something to continue despite veering between the antagonistic and, well, calling someone trash and threatening them with turkeys.

All this may have made no sense but hopefully we've talked about it enough already.

Suou is just starting out but she's a very different voice, definitely young but not exactly naive. I don't have much to say about her yet other than liking her voice and finding her quite unusual as a character.

As I said before, there's no need to worry. We can always figure out a way to fit the log to their later conversations. I didn't plan to have Amory realize that he was being soul-spied on anyway, so he's been treating Chase as he normally does. And if you're still worried, we can figure out the framework of the log first? idk. I'm flexible as a noodle.

sdasljdsdjlsl Hi, these are my keysmashes. I really love exploring his personality in the game, so to hear all of that really is comforting and amazing. Because I sometimes do worry that his efforts to push people away make him seem one-dimensional. So I'm blushing, really. ;; And despite the wall that's there, their sprawling conversations often do manage to touch on subjects that are pertinent to them (like when he fished out Chase's middle name)... or at least pertinent to Amory, since I don't know so much about Chase. And then there are their conversations about hospital porn sob.

He wants to give up on Chase forever, but he just can't. It's like some weird asshat magnetism. Something worse than an alcohol addiction. Thus, he will continue to gather is turkeys.

Thank youuu. She really is a different character from most I've played, and I'm still continually surprised by her character's development in canon. I enjoy playing her, so I'm glad you like her. :3;

I've been having a lot of fun playing with Suou! I always intended to watch the second season of DtB and she makes me want to even more.

And Tristan is just awesome, it's like he's right out of the film. I love watching him interact with Yvaine.

I'm sad to hear that about Sakura. D: Sure, you're not around much, but you're really awesome when you are! And I don't mind your inactivity, really. I don't think it's been particularly noticeable except perhaps this month. And you get to your tags so I do appreciate that. I don't think I could ask much more of a Sakura.

Idk how much I've told you how much I do because, well, I just fail like that. But I really enjoy stalking him and his posts and threads and all the things he gets up to. He is just such an interesting character and I always want to know more more MORE and just keep reading. His voice is fantastic, all snarky and he is such an asshat sometimes but that's what's so enjoyable. I need to tag him more with Ginny. They are ridiculous together and I enjoy every moment of it. A lot of the time she just wants to go over and smack/hex him and I think one day she will and aksldjakh I not so secretly look forward to it.
