IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE! HMD, HMD! HOW'S MY DRIVING? PRETTY GOOD, RIGHT? AREN'T YOU THANKFUL?! GOBBLE IT UP, POLYCHROMATIDS~!!

Welcome back to our more seasoned members, and welcome to you first-timers.

HMD is the gamewide chance for feedback on playing here in polychromatic.

And here's our philosophy on HMD: praise--it's all well and good (we all love it, yeah?), so if you want to give praise, love, ♥s, whatever, go for it! It's especially great to say what you ♥ so much about a character. For example, how they acted during X curse or Y plot was great, or how they adjusted (or didn't?) to the City was fascinating. But we all know, constructive crit is best when you're looking for advice on how to improve. What we really encourage here are questions. It gives you the chance to maybe understand something, (and maybe you think it makes sense after all now), and the player a chance to explain. For example:

"How did Gary get from Point A in canon to Point B in Poly? It didn't quite make sense to me."

"What started this whole fascination of Sue's with the bananas?"

And then you find out that there's a long, involved story that goes back six months involving the aftermath of a curse, a lizard, a pound of potatoes, a watermelon, three French maids, and a pogo stick. And then it all makes perfect sense.

Or perhaps it doesn't, but you've started a dialogue about the things you perceive versus the things the player perceives.

As decided by community vote, anon is not allowed here on the main HMD post, and IP logging is on. Sorry, Anon. However, we encourage posting a link to your own, personal, anon-enabled crit thread(s) if allowing anon is something you want to do and are comfortable with. But keep in mind that we moderators can't police those crit threads: not only are they anon, but they are on your own journals, and there are dozens of them. But we entreat members of this game to be polite and courteous, logged in or not. We will be watching the main post for any unrest, however, so keep that in mind. (We like to watch.) Iiiiiiii think that while you still definitely have the ~*~ touch ~*~ with Kaoru, he seems to occasionally lack the... idk, enthusiasm? Drive? Clearly the overall solution = moar sparklies. Or something. orz I know it's hard without a Host Club, though, since he wasn't THE most "...23ewh82h????!!!!!???!!! " member, so if you think his being a trifle more sedate is due course to his City development, please keep it!

I know absolutely nothing about Yuri Lowell (other than that he's a pedo :( ), but I really enjoy his interaction with Kanda XDDD

Also, Kaoru badly suffers from 'been here too long' syndrome. I've done what I can, and now I'm just keeping him around for his important CR. A canon review may or may not solve this problem, seeing as I haven't watched Ouran in probably 3 years. But idkkkk. Part of it is development - he's learned how to be his own person without Hikaru and he's learned to be kinda :| with what happens in the City - but part of it is also my own lack of motivation. Yuri is my favorite, now ;;

Pffffffffft who told you that. Did Thorn tell you that? Yuri is not a pedo. I also enjoy their interaction! Long-haired swordsmen yay!

Have I mentioned how utterly thrilled I am that you decided to keep Nagi? Well, another hundred times couldn't hurt! ...But I digress.

I think you're doing a good job with him. Outside of OMGNAGI/FOAMS, you're really getting across his inner turmoil in a way that keeps him in character. Obviously he's not the type to make angsty posts in public about how shit his life is, etc, and even his private entries are rather terse, but the message is still very much there, and it's easy to see for anyone looking.

I can't ever see him as being a flowery shounen hero, despite what Naminé would like to believe, but he's always had that potential, because he's not so much evil as chaotic neutral? He can swing either way, depending on the factors currently in his life, which we saw with Tot. He was willing to consider settling down with her somewhere. ...Of course, they're both teenage psychos, so they'd probably end up killing their neighbors for looking at them wrong, but that's not really the point.

Nagi's got issues, and he often struggles with his decisions. He likes doing the right thing, and is clearly a sucker for cute lolis, but he also doesn't have a problem with doing the 'wrong' thing, so long as the pros outweigh the cons in his eyes, and you're showing that perfectly.

...Unfortunately I haven't seen enough of Yuki to really have anything to offer for him. >: Sorry. And I haven't interacted with Kaoru in way too long. WOE.

WELL. THAT IS KIND OF A HUGE RELIEF. Because since I've picked him up, I felt like I've kinda been doing my own thing with Nagi. I didn't really worry about his voice and just ~*went with the flow*~ with whatever came out. So it's nice to hear these things from someone who knows the canon and has played Nagi before ;;

Auuugh such a big relief I can't even express.

Lmao I hope to bring more of Yuki in during break or something. I love him to death I just... have a terrible time of getting people out these days. And lol Kaoru is rotting away in a corner right now SO.

I'm just so happy still that you decided to pick up Yuki. In every post and comment I can clearly hear his voice and you just do AMAZING with him. I've never read someone who has nailed him better than you, and getting to play with you more in cast has been amazing.

And it's been such a long time since I watched Ouran, but the one thing that always stands out to me about your Kaoru is how you manage to keep him as an individual from his brother, while still playing SO AMAZINGLY WELL off Hikaru when it comes to Twin Tiemz. I love it when the two of them get on a roll and engage in some hilarity, and I equally love seeing Kaoru's serious side when he's standing on his own. ♥

Your Kaoru is still so adorable! Mischievous but one shade less mean XD I'm glad to have been seeing him in much better spirits lately thanks to having Hikaru around.

Jane, Jane, Jane. Let me just count the ways that I love you. First, I really miss seeing your Kaoru around. I know how things get when you've been in the city a long time, getting the characters that have been here longest and have established relationship and CR to get out there tagging others is really hard. He's still one of my favorite characters here in the city though and I would love to see him around more. What you and Wendy have been doing with the twins has been great though. I've seen them tag teaming others and though they are both at a place where they are working on being more independent, that bond is still obviously strong. The communication between Wendy and you is obvious. Keep up the good work.

Then there is Yuki. I still have to say kudos to you for bringing him in at the point that you have. It's a really hard one to handle for him, I'm sure, considering he's from such a different point as both Kyou and Tohru. It's always really fun to see his reactions to things and you've really gotten a great grasp on his characterization. Even with the point that Kyou is at, Yuki still has the ability to push his buttons and make him lose his temper, even if it takes a bit more to do it. It's really enjoyable for me and I am loving playing against you.

I am so happy to have you playing both of my characters Most Important People. You're just a great person to interact with both IC and OOC.

I do feel bad because I feel like I don't plan as much as I should, at least as far as the Hitachiin go. At the same time, however, you mentioned in a meme recently that Kaoru does go off on his own without even mentioning it to Hikaru. So I guess in a way it works out? IDK I'm confusing myself.

That being said, I'm always looking forward to having more fun times with you, and oh how I know there will be more >;3

I am tempted to leave you a comment roughly about as constructive as the one you left me, i.e. NOT AT ALL.

... I got nothin'. You do amazingly with all your characters, and the ones I don't know (Nagi, Yuri) are fun to tag off of. I've never tagged Yuri so I wouldn't know what he's like, derp, but I hear really good things about him. Someone nearly apped to play with him, but then she dropped the topic. Still, it's - proof! Ish!

Um. I guess you could stand to make Natalia a little less derp sometimes? Maybe? She's selectively oblivious for maximum hilarious effect, but I think she does a decent job of being competent? I dunno! I admit that I mostly got this impression off of her, like, two threads with Sync where she was trying to appeal to his ~better side~ and Sync was... a douche. And it felt a little too easy to mock her.

THAT ASIDE, you know I love your voice from her and continue to maintain that you may be the only decent Natalia active in all of LJ RP.

What else? Oh yes. I am so glad that I get to play off of your Yuki. :D My inner Ayame clamors for me to note your Yuki's fabulous, if only for ~posterity~.

Hee, well, on the bright side! Ichigo is definitely bringing out Natalia's haughtier side. Idk if that has anything to do with her derp, but I find this exciting. And thankfully Kay and I are planning to do an Abyss replay sometime soon- this should fix the derp o/

Pfffft- there are also only like four Natalias on LJ ever.

I've yet to interact with your Yuri or really anyone else for that matter besides Kaoru briefly but I really do enjoy reading your interaction with Flynn and you seem to have his voice down well. It's been a while since I've played Vesperia but you both reminded me why I enjoyed that game very much~<3 Keep up the good work!
