A WILD PLOT MEME APPEARS...

Even with the overarching plots going on, it's still always neat to take advantage of the insane variety of City residents on display, and put together an event, a great adventure, or public mayhem.

So, if you have absolutely anything in mind that you'd like to start (or join!) with your character, just put it down. It can be a tiny, local deal ( a trip, a party, research gone wrong, building a fort, etc), or something with a bigger scope ( a hero squad to help the police, instituting a City regime of terror, etcetc) - really, just mention it, see who else would like to join in, make the necessary plans, and go.

Pretty much anything can be used to generate more of the fabled CR, so yeeeeeesssssss, don't hesitate to approach people with whom you've never interacted before, either to join in on their plan, or to recruit them for yours.

We'll be here for any questions, and there's also always this, if you'd like to suggest a City-wide plot, too!

Why yes he is!

Lol, that is also my IRL reaction to most vegetarians. "Yes, I understand cruelty to animals. BUT HAVE YOU TASTED BACON?"

Actually, she's probably got some vegetarian recipes around somewhere, since she and Penny cooked together on a couple of different occasions. If Stephen's a baking aficionado, there might be potential for recipe-trading in the future.

NOW THE REAL QUESTION IS, DO YOU LIKE SWEETS, STEPHEN.

Someday if someone ever needs to fundraise for anything, there should be a poly cookbook. SO MUCH RECIPE SHARES

He is indifferent, I'm afraid. He really is more of a cooker. The baking's a hobby.

OMG.

POLY BAKE SALE.

WE SHOULD DO THIS THING.

Don't knock it til you try it. There's orange juice in it.

Off-topic but okay, no, seriously, I have seen this done in other games and it is awesome. Like, players submit recipes for the cookbook and someone compiles it--usually it's just born digital and stays there, which works well for most people. But, no, really, one can get some awesome recipes that way. For double lulz, people can submit "IC" recipes--either things that a character likes in canon, or a recipe written ICly (as a character might write or annotate a recipe), or things like that.

I kind of want to try this with Poly now, though. Because I feel certain it would be just as awesome.

I can totally facilitate this if we actually want to do it. Both on the OOC front (we could have a recipe meme in [livejournal.com profile] poly_crack?) and ICly through Rosella, or both, or whatever works best.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
I was thinking of doing it OOCly through poly_crack, myself, but that's mostly because that's how I roll. And I don't think Cain would be too apt to submit a recipe ICly |D;;

[identity profile] protects-her.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Submitting a recipe is easy, Cain.

Just take your usual recipe and subtract all the poison.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Riff! Riff, I need a recipe that will taste all right without poison. Yes, I know it's a bit impossible, but, please let's do try. You've managed to cook a few things without poison before, haven't you?"

[identity profile] protects-her.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
I picture him all despondent and surrounded by books and stacks of looseleaf paper with his hair all a mess and part of his collar sticking up and his eyes kind of red like he hasn't slept in a day or so.

And he's like, "Surely we must have one without poison!" and returns to shuffling obsessively through his stacks and stacks of recipes of death.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
And then he'll turn to Merry, who has carefully copied out the recipe for cherry cake on a pink slip of paper, decorated with drawings of flowers and the three of them having tea in a garden ♥

This would be so totally awesome. I fully volunteer Stephen to organize this if someone comes up with a reason for it.
