How It Works:
[1] List your name/nickname/handle and your characters for which you would like some feedback (use our handy form, if you like). Open hands, await feedback.

[2] Go forth and leave some polite thoughts, crit, questions, concerns, comments, suggestions, general feedback, or any combination of the above for your fellow players about their respective characters. In this, we really encourage you to ask questions and get explanations about what has gone into characterization decisions. Communication is key. Find out what went into an action or decision and you may come to understand it better. Let's talk it out.

[3] Please try to be polite and constructive. Can't stress that enough, can we? Give suggestions and ask questions! Be constructive! But please refrain from using "placeholder" comments. HMD isn't going anywhere, I promise.

[4] Please also refrain from posting pictures, animated .gifs, videos, giant text, sparklies, blinking and moving tags, and &c. outside of collapsed threads. For the sake of our sanity and our load times.

[5] As per our community poll, Anonymous is off. We'd also like to request that sockpuppets not be used on this HMD. You are welcome to post a link to a personal HMD thread where Anonymous is allowed, if you so choose; these threads are your own lookout.

I remember you complaining on Plurk that you felt you lost the core of Yuri's character because he's been around too long. I don't really see it. I can't claim to have thought too much about how Yuri works and would react in specific instances, so I'll take your word on things like him needing to bitch and moan more.

But the core of his character--a cynical guy with a bad attitude who can't watch anyone in front of him suffer? You have that. With all his trolling and flirting and general personality quirks intact, I think. The only thing I've noticed is that he seems a little more relaxed about things but I think that's a natural progression of his time in the City and isn't even something I'd bring up except I'm trying to think of anything at all to give helpful crit on.

I wish I could give you any help with Hitagi and I clearly need to pay more attention to Hope.

Hmmmmmm. I think you've been having it rough schedule-wise, and it's probably exhausted some of your RP drive - so that's... probably one of the things that's not helped with the flouncing cluelessly part ;_; I do understand what you mean, in that sometimes it does feel as if you aren't very passionate about threading/posts, and they can come off as lacking a certain punch.

I don't know Hitagi's canon, but I'm aware Flynn's quite goal-oriented (sob, resume description), and Hope is perpetually pushed to go along with the ride by external factors -- would it help you to get them more involved in plots, or meet new people, or...?

crit zer first: You need to app more. The previous app week just closed, a new round is starting up, and something is wrong in the universe when I am considering having as many characters--if not more!--than you here. :(

crit zer second: As I mention often, and possibly with a certain selfish glee, your activity isn't a big concern for me 'cos I can hit you up whenever I want a thread. That being said, I'd love to see your characters about even more! Schedule permitting. You can tell me who you ship them with while you tag if it helps. :(

crit zer third: Honestly, I think the best move to ease you into playing Hitagi now is to accept that, for better or for worse, this is your voice for her. You can tweak more to your satisfaction once you've settled into it. There's a certain disconnect that happens in threads sometimes, I think, as a result of tagging too slowly, which you might be taking as a sign that you don't have the voice down yet. Except all the elements are there. You can sort out a problem more clearly once there's more material to judge by. So quit panicking and tag back. :X!!

crit zer fourth: Yuri does feel a little rote on occasion, though it may be just me--I don't have a lot of ~deep~ CR with him--and he has admittedly been through a lot. I suspect you'll be fine on him once you find a new actual direction or project for him, you are the forever Yuri. His voice is still strong and he is still considered a douchebag by my entire lineup, at least!

You are an amazing, Yuri, and sometimes I get a reply or see one of your tags and I wonder if you had a part in writing the dialogue script for Vesperia. You've managed to capture all sides of him from sarcastic to straight to the point and all the things that make Yuri, well, Yuri. I was very impressed when you pulled off the 'inner thoughts' curse. It is one thing to play out what a character says, but when you can also do what they think and execute it well that shows great grasp of the character.

I don't have much crit except maybe do more with Brave Vesperia. It seems like there is a history with some of the members there. It is a angle I'd like to see explored more.

I can't help much with Hitagi or Hope as I don't know their canon, but I do like how Hope is progressing and dealing with the grab bags that have come his way.
