I'm always stalking Ginny from afar even though Li hasn't had very extensive threads with her (/kicks self for atrocious slowness ;;) but from everything I've seen, her growth corresponds perfectly with what she had to go through in the City, as well as in-canon. To add to that, her voice is very Ginny and she has just that right vibe of spunk, determination and overall Weasley spirit, the latter of which shines through when she's brewing up mischief or trying to help out a friend.
