How It Works:

I don't really know Buffy or Doctor Who, but I have seen a few episodes of CM, and while that isn't anything to weigh on as far as what you're doing with him, I just wanted to say I really enjoyed Derek and Eames' thread and hope to have more of them in the future! :)

lisa, your dawn. your dawn. you've done all the things with her that i wished for ages people would do with her character. in your hands, she feels like an honest to god person instead of this caricature of a little sister figure. you've given dawn the chance to be herself and it makes reading her threads and interacting with her that much more fun. ♥

Okay, okay, I'm a huge fan of BtVS, I still watch through it at least once a year, and I'll admit that sometimes I found Dawn to be a bit annoying (I think she was supposed to be as the little sister growing up through the awkward years in some of the parts, but still). But you play her so wonderfully, you bring out her better traits and she's so adorably excitable that whenever I reply to a tag with her I just grin at the screen. It's stupid, but I do. Howard needs to use the excuse that they work in the same building to bother her a lot more in future because they're fun to play with.

Oh yay! That really is one of the greatest compliments to know that I've made an initially annoying character likable. Thanks so much! And I really have enjoyed both the threads with Howard and her so far. I think she still hasn't put two and two together about the last name Stark! One of these days she will!

I do love her, though, both in canon and in the game, but I love the most that you give her more of a personality, and the rambling she does is the sweetest thing. I could flail forever. And haha yes, Howard'll figure out that he's got a son one of these days too, so they can laugh about that later. :D

Because your Dawn is ... everything no one else does with her and you are a freaking DIAMOND in the rough on this one. I never believed that Faith and Dawn would ever actually get along, or that Faith would just end up punching her in the FACE but holy WOW she is so pitch-perfect and exactly what I would expected a girl in her...situation? To grow into. All the tragedy and danger mixed in with love and humanness-- your Dawn exemplifies MORE than her character archetype, which is such an achievement I cannot begin to understand HOW you do it. Just...please never stop. She is beautiful.

Can I gush about Jenny right now? You play aspects of her that I ... wouldn't have even thought of! She's a little corny (like the show) and completely open and ready to explore which is exactly what she should be. I'm excited to see where you take her, dude.

Faith is so scared of Derek, dude. Because he's flipped a LOT of her opinions/expectations about men on their sides -- which, after Wood, is a huge deal. I love seeing the man, the kid and the cop within him. I think I stopped watching CM after a few seasons, and if anything you do him a favor, because I remember the cast being kind of large and sometimes that's hard for a show to balance? Your Derek is multifaceted and there's this vulnerable side to him that just...fits. It works. He's fantastic.

I love getting to RP with you, it's always SO much fun. If I could HMD you as a player, I would say that your ability to both play out crack/goofy stuff and have your characters affected by their experiences and grow from them is the one thing I envy MOST about you. \o/

Faith and Dawn get to bond over being hidden in the shadow that is Buffy. And honestly I never realized that until playing with YOUR Faith! That they could have that uneasy friendship that's always teetering on the edge of going one way or the other.

Thanks so much for saying that about Jenny. I always feel conflicted with her about what she should know and should not know and I've found I like playing her where she's in a constant state of learning and experiencing new things. I like knowing that someone thinks I'm doing it right!

I really wanna play more of the Derek Faith dynamic. It always makes for a good thread and is lots of fun.

/too lazy for journal switching

As far as Jenny goes, I completely understand that worry from playing Castiel for...years. I STILL get it. But after awhile it becomes second nature and I think you're as anal retentive as I am, to the point where you'll start to develop a feeling for when you can start letting her be familiar with certain things, and when it's fine to continue the naive silly stuff. Just have fun with it and trust yourself, and it'll be FINE.

Honestly, I can't think of any real crit to give you. We've discussed the stuff with Derek and the comfyness and how it leads to laziness sometimes.

YOur Dawn is so perfect. You've taken the aspects of her we've seen in the show and fleshed them out and given them life. You do a great job of playing that tension/love push and pull of siblings with Dawn & Buffy. I couldn't ask for a better Dawn to play off of. I enjoy her interaction with Dean just as much as I do hers with Buffy and I love reading her with other people. Rose is definitely going to talk to Dawn more because her flirting with Nine has made it necessary and I love that.

Jenny is breathtakingly awesome and awkward and cheesy and wonderful. I'm so glad that I've gotten to play the dynamic of her and Rose. I love that you not only use the dynamics of Rose & Jenny's relationship in their interactions but the dynamics of Rose & The Doctors' relationships as well because it makes their relationship that much more real and multi dimensional. It's the whole Step mother/step daughter sort of thing and I REALLY enjoy playing that.
