How's My Driving?
[I KNOW YOU'RE EXCITED!!]
How It Works:
[1] List your name and your characters for which you would like some feedback (use our handy form, if you like)!
[2] Please refrain from posting pictures, .gifs, videos, giant text, sparklies, blinking and moving tags, and &c. outside of collapsed threads. For the sake of our sanity and our load times. You are welcome to link to them in top-level comments, but otherwise please save 'em for collapsed threads.
[3] Open hands, await feedback and go forth and leave some polite thoughts, crit, questions, concerns, comments, suggestions, or any combination of the above for your fellow players about their respective characters. In this, we really encourage you to ask questions and get explanations about what has gone into characterization decisions. Communication is key. Find out what went into an action or decision and you may come to understand it better. Let's talk it out.
[4] Please try to be polite and constructive. Can't stress that enough, can I? Give suggestions and ask questions! Be constructive! But please also refrain from using "placeholder" comments. HMD isn't going anywhere, I promise!
[5] If you'd like, you can certainly list your personal HMD posts and contact posts over in the POLYchromatic Rainbow Pages directory.
[6] As per our community poll, Anonymous is off. We'd also like to request that sockpuppets not be used on this HMD. You are welcome to post a link to a personal HMD thread where Anonymous is allowed; these threads are your own lookout.
The form:
To the best of my abilities, I'll keep an ongoing and alphabetical list of everyone's HMD comments here below for your browsing pleasure.

I'm really glad that you enjoy Tessa and that her tags made you put those books on the to-read list. I really enjoyed the first one in particular. The second, not so much. I have issues with the second one, but ah, they're still enjoyable reads, really! It's a wonderful thing to hear that her characterisation comes across so well!
When it comes to Amy, I think you're absolutely right. Some days, her voice just... isn't quite there and she becomes more generic, I suppose? It's definitely something I'm going to work on. Today before answering her tags, I spent just five minutes re-watching some DW and listening to her speech patterns and it made such a difference for me in having her voice in my head. I think I'm generally okay on her characterisation, but it's her voice that I need to work on, so I'm going to focus on that. Adding some in brackets characterisation might also help (which I think you meant?) is a brilliant idea as well and should force me to consider her more carefully when replying to people. I think I have a nice list of things I can do to make Amy's voice better and less flat/generic again. I'm definitely going to work on her. Thank you so much for pointing this all out and offering suggestions ♥!
Don't worry about talking much about Amy, I really appreciate it and I think she's the one I need to work most on, so it's definitely warranted u.u

YES! That really helps, doesn't it? Even just watching one episode or part of an episode. I have to do that sometimes too. I say 'have to' like it's such a chore to watch Doctor Who or Criminal Minds or Buffy. It really isn't, but it does help with the whole voice thing!

it helps SO MUCH it's incredible. I'm going to have to do it a bit more often, is all, especially with DW being on hiatus right now so I don't get my weekly fix/voice update, really.
